Mudgeeraba Case Study – Rotted Door Frame Repair

A Mudgeeraba homeowner contacted SURVE after discovering significant timber rot at the base of an external laundry door frame. Moisture exposure over many years had caused the lower sections to deteriorate badly.

Rather than replacing the entire frame, we removed the affected timber and carried out a targeted repair using new treated timber sections. The repaired areas were shaped to match the existing profile before being primed and painted.

Once completed, the door operated correctly and the frame regained its structural integrity. The repaired sections blended neatly with the original frame, maintaining the property’s appearance while extending the life of the installation.
