We don’t do waterproofing or full bathroom renovations – and if part of your job needs a licensed plumber or electrician, we’ll tell you straight away.

Mermaid Waters – shower screen repairs (November 2026). Both sliding shower screens in a rental property – the main bathroom and the ensuite – had doors coming off their tracks. We replaced all the rollers, straightened the tracks, fitted new door guides and door stops, and balanced the doors so they slide and close smoothly again.

Can you fix a shower door that has come off its track?
Yes. In most cases a sliding shower door comes off its track because the rollers are worn or broken, the track is bent, or the guides are missing. We replace the rollers, straighten and secure the track, fit new guides and stops, and balance the door so it slides and closes properly – usually much cheaper than a new screen.
Can you replace my bathroom vanity?
Yes. We remove the old vanity and install the new one – level, secured and sealed. If the water or waste connections need changing, a licensed plumber connects them. Tell us the size and style you have in mind and we’ll give you a clear price.
Can you fix a dripping tap, shower head or pop-up drain?
Yes. Most dripping taps and mixers just need new washers or O-rings, and a tired or blocked shower head can be swapped for a new fixed or hand-held one, and stuck or broken basin pop-up drains can be repaired or replaced. If the tap body, pipes or wall fittings are damaged, you’ll need a licensed plumber (you can check a plumber’s licence on the QBCC website) – and we’ll tell you straight away.
Do you do waterproofing or fix leaking showers?
No. We don’t do waterproofing, retiling or full bathroom renovations. If your shower is leaking behind the tiles, you’ll need a waterproofing specialist. Once that’s done, we can repair and paint any damaged walls or ceilings, reseal around the screen and fix the accessories.
How does your pricing work?
Small jobs: one callout fee covers travel and your first hour on site — no 2‑hour minimum — then 30‑minute increments. Larger jobs (8+ hours) are charged at our full-day property maintenance rate plus materials, with no callout fee. The standard callout applies around Robina; it may be slightly higher further out. We’ll confirm your exact price by phone or email before we start. All prices include GST; materials are extra.
Do you work on commercial and strata properties?
Yes. As well as homes and rentals, we look after commercial premises, retail shops and strata common areas — repairs, carpentry, doors and windows, gyprock and plaster, and painting, all completed to builder‑level standards. We work during business hours and don’t offer an emergency or after‑hours service.
Do you offer free quotes?
Yes — when the job can be assessed from photos you send us, or when the property is within 10 km of Robina.
Do you service rental properties?
Yes. We work with property managers, landlords and tenants, and can collect keys from the agent or arrange access with tenants.
How soon can you come out?
Small jobs can typically be done within a week. Larger jobs are scheduled in advance — usually a minimum of two weeks.
