Carpentry Services

Doors, frames and trim: doors hung, trimmed, re-hung and adjusted, new internal doors fitted, door frames, jambs and stops repaired, skirting boards and architraves replaced or refitted, locks, handles and hinges fitted.

Outdoor timber: deck boards, joists and handrails, pergola posts, beams and battens, timber fences, palings, rails and gates, staircase and step repairs.

Inside the home: kitchen and bathroom cabinet doors, drawers and hinges, shelving and general joinery repairs, cavity sliding doors fitted and repaired, rotten or damaged timber cut out and replaced.

For larger structural or renovation work that needs a licensed builder, I’ll tell you upfront and point you in the right direction.

Case Study – Door Jamb Repair in Bundall

A Bundall homeowner called about a bedroom door that had worked loose. The timber around the hinges had deteriorated, the door no longer closed properly, and it was getting worse.

The door jamb was badly worn and damaged where the hinges fix in. I repaired and reinforced those sections, refitted the hinges with suitable fixings, and adjusted the door so it sat square in the frame.

The door now opens and closes smoothly, latches properly and feels solid, without replacing the whole frame. The homeowner was glad to avoid a much bigger repair bill. More about our work in Bundall.
